Balanced >insert subject here<

The next time someone tries to defend or advocate for balanced math instruction or balanced literacy remember this simple mathematical formula.

(good + bad) / 2 = mediocre

or

"The average of good plus bad is mediocre."

George, I debated some other word usuage... but wanted to be "quotable". I almost had everything = "average", but average was to positive a word.

Your formula only makes sense to people who know what "/" means.

Good point allen... of course if people don't know what / means then I am guessing they probably aren't going to be reading a boring education blog.
