I don't give a crap

Rhee Tackles Classroom Challenge -- Printout -- TIME:

Michelle Rhee:

"I don't give a crap.' Don't get me wrong. Creativity is good and whatever. But if the children don't know how to read, I don't care how creative you are. You're not doing your job."
I think I love her.

Via that Russo guy.

Does this mean that the politicians, here in California, if illiterate, would not be so "creative" in their "budgets", and leave the education system alone?

Why did anyone educate the politicians?

A rarity--I think I agree with you. I kinda like her too. Somebody has to shake things up and get rid of teachers who aren't teaching and encourage teachers who are.

I'm afraid that she won't survive. If for some reason she gets canned from Washington D.C., she needs to find a smaller equally as poor district and succeed there.

I have a professional crush on this woman. She spoke to us at last year's CEAFU conference and she is *most* impressive.
